Frequently Asked Questions
Pricing and Insurance
We accept Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO insurance and private pay.
While we do accept BCBS PPO, there are a few differences to note.
Nicole is NOT accepting insurance at this time. She is only accepting private pay clients at this time.
Session rates are as follows:
For an initial session, the session is 90 minutes long at $250. This allows us the space and time to take a deep dive into your journey and gather information to create a roadmap for treatment.
Every subsequent session is 55 minutes at $175.
Lauren IS accepting insurance for all clients.
We do offer sliding scale for those in need.
Both Lauren and Nicole offer a sliding scale for those clients who may need financial support when accessing services.
Both clinicians can be found on Open Path. This is a site that allows clients to access quality therapists at a reduced price rate.
Please let us know during your consultation if a sliding scale is an option you are considering.
Superbills
For private pay clients, we do also offer superbills for reimbursement from your insurance. Superbills are itemized invoices provided each month. You may submit these to your insurance for reimbursement for services rendered. Please check with your specific insurance plan for eligibility.
We also partner with Mentaya. Mentaya is a service that handles coordinating reimbursement with your insurance company or to access out of network providers.
The issue with insurance
While we understand that most clients want to use their insurance, there are a few reasons why we may choose to elect private pay.
Insurance requires that we provide a diagnosis after the first session, which we don’t always believe to be true. It is our goal to provide you with the best care possible and insurance often times limits the scope of care, or deeper reflection by requiring a diagnosis after our first 90 minute session.
Insurance can also dictate which modalities are used and how long you are able to receive services. Again, we do not believe growth and wellness fall into a neatly prescribed timeline.
Diagnosis can follow you. Once a diagnosis is given, that diagnosis can follow you and may inadvertently hinder future endeavors or create unwanted stigma.
